This silhouette has a higher back for comfort and support with a built in modesty panel. * Why do we insist on a lacing gap for our overbusts?
A lacing gap makes sure that the "dip" at the side seam will align with your armpit. Imagine the bottom of the armscye where a sleeve is placed in a shirt. You don't want the arm hole to be too forward or too back!
Our hourglass overbusts also have a high back to help smooth any "muffin" and this part should rest over your shoulder blades. If they are too far back they can lead to more rolls, not less! So a gap is recommended. All of our overbust corsets come with a free laced-in modesty panel to protect your back and look great.
